Puerta Vallarta - Things to Do

Whatever it is you want to do: from snorkeling, to scuba diving, to para-sailing, to zip-lining on top of the forest canopy, to swimming with lovable dolphins, to sailing in the sunset, tequila tour... just let us know. We're an authorized outlet of Vallarta Adventures™ , so whatever it is you have in mind, we can make it happen!

  • MALECON You can not visit Puerto Vallarta without a walk on the Malecon. In the last few months of 2011, it was finished into a world class feature. The bronze sculptures are amazing! Besides the beauty of Banderas Bay, you can stop in a shop, pick up a bite to eat, watch artisans at work, pick up some curios, taste some tequila, visit an old cathedral and end up in the active hub of downtown Vallarta...all within a short walk.

  • Old Vallarta & Zona Romantica Cobblestone streets, the mercado, shopping, huge selection of restaurants from gourmet to taco stands (delicious!). Don't miss the swinging bridge, the cigar factory and River Walk Restaurant right on Rio Cuale.

  • Botanical Gardens The Vallarta Botanical Gardens are a great way to see local plants such as coffee trees, strangler figs, papaya trees and orchids. The Gardens are only eight years old but the owner has used much of the original natural growth with supplemented plantings to develop scenic trail walks: the River Walk (where you can swim off inviting flat rocks), a Vanilla Trail; the Agave Hills Trail, the Jaguar Trail to name a few. Along with the opportunity for trail walks that provide some labelled plant information, there are significant collections of orchids, giant strangler fig trees, agave and cacti. You could easily spend a whole day here so plan to enjoy the delicious offerings at their Hacienda de Oro restaurant. Open-sided, this restaurant presents stunning views over the valleys and hillsides as well as more up-close views of brilliantly feathered birds feeding of fresh fruit at the bird feeders. There is a daily tour everyday at 1pm.
